Premature ejaculation is a common problem among men of all ages. Premature ejaculation is a clinical diagnosis made by doctors (that is, there are no symptoms other than premature ejaculation that define the condition). At its worst, this condition can completely inhibit sexual intercourse.
A number of products are available on the market that promise to prevent premature ejaculation. When used by men who don't have this condition, these products enable men to last longer in bed. Lasting longer is a wish shared by many man (and not a few women!) who feel they will be better able to satisfy their partners.
We determined that the products we compared should be:
Our 143-man test group was asked to evaluate each product both during intercourse and during self-pleasure to determine the approximate benefits. The results were significant and led us to conclude that there is a clear winner.
Our staff of experts have rated a number of products in this category and have listed their recommendations.
Climaxagen produced the greatest level of results among our testers. On average, men determined that they could last 100%-200% longer during intercourse. That's truly impressive compared to the other products.
Men using Climaxagen were still able to enjoy the sensations of intercourse but were not, as one man put it, "so sensitive I was afraid I was going to come." Climaxagen enabled our testers to relax and enjoy sex for a longer duration. Additionally, the active ingredients in Climaxagen did not adversely affect the partner.
Many of our testers said they would continue to use Climaxagen for themselves or their partners.
These impressive results were rather surprising to us. Based on the experiences of our testers, Climaxagen was awarded a must buy recommendation.
Vivaxa Male Delay/Stamina Lotion is one of many similar lubricating products that contain some ingredients to desensitize the male and enable him to last longer in bed. The active ingredient in Vivaxa Male Delay/Stamina Lotion is benzocaine (a topical anesthetic similar to lidocaine), which is frequently used by doctors during minor surgery.
Our testers reported that Vivaxa Male Delay/Stamina Lotion affected not only men, but their partners as well. "My wife told me that she could last just as long as I could, because she couldn't feel anything at all" one tester reported. Several testers dropped out of the experiment because their partners did not want to have sex while using Vivaxa Male Delay/Stamina Lotion.
Because this product seems to affect both the man and his partner, Durex Play Longer received a tentative buy recommendation.
Stud 100 is a topical spray that contains the anesthetic lidocaine (that's the same anesthetic used by dentists when working on your teeth). This is a powerful topical anesthetic and we wondered whether it would be too much for our testers.
Stud 100 works very well -- too well. Many of our testers found that Stud 100 completely prevented them from experiencing sensation. Because of this, a lot of men were not able to maintain their erection because they were not being stimulated.
One of our testers reported, "I thought this was supposed to help me last longer in bed. Now I lose my erection the moment sensation goes away." Another tester told us, "I can last practically forever, but because I can't feel anything, sex is no fun. It's more like a workout."
Based on the hit-or-miss performance, Stud 100 was awarded a do not buy recommendation. We don't recommend this product for any man who wants to actually enjoy satisfying sexual intimacy but it may be right for some men who simply wish to engage in sex without feeling anything.
Indian God Lotion definitely has the most interesting name of all the premature ejaculation prevention products we reviewed. Additionally, Indian God Lotion had been tested by Maxim Magazine in 2000 as a "last longer in bed" solution.
Our testers did not experience significant benefits from Indian God Lotion. Many complained about the delivery method - Indian God Lotion should be sprayed on twice before sex, an hour before and then again half an hour prior to intercourse. "I don't really plan sex in advance," one tester confessed. "It's kind of hard to tell my girlfriend, Not now honey I need to spray myself again in twelve minutes."
Even those who were able to meet the requirements of application were not impressed by the results. Men reported being able to last 33%-70% longer in bed. We began to suspect that the Maxim test used a different product or that perhaps the makers of Indian God Lotion had changed their ingredients since 2000.
Considering these difficulties and the overall lack of performance, Indian God Lotion received a do not buy recommendation.
